• Update April 22nd, 2020

Firstly, we would like to take this opportunity to say a huge “thank you” to all our Parents and carers for your ongoing support. This, together with the payment of fees, has been amazing

and we cannot thank you enough. Without this income we would, like many other businesses, have had no alternative but to close.  Sadly, business insurance will not cover for loss of business due to Covid-19 and therefore we still need to find the funds to meet all the usual overheads.

We are guided by Bradford Early Years and will continue to remain open for the children of Key Workers who absolutely need to attend and then only as their last resort.

Government funding is still being received for 2,3 & 4 year olds who are eligible and would normally attend our setting.  However, yesterday we were informed that that same funding is now to be used to pay the staff currently on furlough and this is a major concern.

I would like to express my heartfelt thanks and gratitude to all our parents for your contribution to fees this month, some in full and some in part, this is truly amazing and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your continued support and understanding at this difficult time. Needless-to-say, we are monitoring things on a daily basis and with the help of our great team, and your continued support, trust that we will be able to provide childcare to all Key Worker Parents and Carers until such time as life returns to normal.

I and all the Staff wish to extend our gratitude and sincere thanks to all those Parents and Carers, who are working on the front line during this pandemic, we wish you well and please stay safe.

  • Covid 19 – an update from Rainbow House Private Day Nursery Ltd - 29/3/2020

What a week it has been!!  As the spread of Covid-19 continues, we want to reassure you that the wellbeing of our children and employees will be at the forefront of everything we do.  We will of course continue to adhere strictly to Government advice, whilst remaining fully committed to providing an ongoing service to our customers who are Key Workers, working on the frontline and require sessions in order to get to their place of work.

We are reviewing and monitoring developments continuously and our approach will inevitably continue to evolve.  As a small business we are learning each and every day under the current situation and have to make changes at short notice.  In order for us to continue to provide childcare for the parents on the critical Key Worker lists we have had to change our staff structure as the numbers attending the setting have dropped and therefore, not all staff are required to work and have been placed on furlough until the situation changes.

The Nursery Practitioners still working are committed to maintaining a safe, clean and happy environment and our Manager’s are also in the setting to ensure we are keeping in touch with the Government guidelines and making the necessary changes.  We would ask that you contact the Nursery and the Big Kids Club on 01274 690622 to update your required sessions during these difficult times or email on rainbow.lowmoor@hotmail.com and where you can, stay at home.

The Big Kids Club building is now closed however, we still offer our services in the Nursery building for the parents on the Key Worker list.

While we are currently able to provide most meals on our menu, there will be changes and I would like to thank the generosity and kindness of our parents who have delivered shopping to the setting to enable us to continue to provide meals, without their kindness I am sure it would be a different story, you have been amazing, thank you.

While we hope to be returning to our normal running of the nursery, it will be some time before we can open our doors to everyone and welcome you back.  We are missing you all very much and wish you and your families well.  Stay Safe, Stay Well.
